Dusting mixture:
1:1 potato starch/Powdered sugar.
Gelatin bloom:
1/2 cup 120ml water.
3 envelopes (22g) powdered gelatin.

1.5 cups (330g)sugar.

How to Harden Marshmallows Fast. Microwave Marshmallows. Place marshmallows on a microwave-safe plate, arranged in a single layer with space between each one. Put the plate in the Oven Method.

Step 1. Place the marshmallows or rice treats on a plate or tray, and set them in the refrigerator or a cool, dry location. Do not cover them with Step 2. Chill the marshmallows for at least 1 hour to allow them to harden. Step 3. Remove marshmallows.It will completely depend on what sizes yours are, what the humidity is like, and what kind of marshmallow you are trying to dehydrate. But it does take some time.
The crunchier they are in the end, the better for storage. You can increase the temperature to make them dry a little faster if you’d like.If you’re making homemade marshmallow or crispy rice squares, or if you just want to harden regular commercial marshmallows, remember that marshmallows become hard through exposure to air and cool temperatures. Storing them in a tightly closed container is the best way to keep them soft and fresh.Fill a bowl or cup with hot water from the tap.
Place bag in the water and leave for 1 minute. (The marshmallows will want to float in the water. So I placed a spatula over the bag to help hold them in the water.) Open the bag and the marshmallows are soft again.Marshmallow plants prefer to be growing in sandy, moist soil. It doesn’t like soil that dries out too fast, so you’ll want to add compost to your ground if it doesn’t retain moisture well. This is a long post with plenty of tips on how to make marshmallows – with or without corn syrup, and with or without a sugar thermometer.You could microwave them for a few seconds to soften them up. I wouldn’t put them in for more than 5-10 seconds, and watch them carefully so they don’t explode or get too sticky. I prefer slightly.If you didn’t add tylose to the MMf, it won’t get hard.
I would make the body and head over and add tylose to it. Then you should let it air dry on the countertop not in the fridge. That is the best help I can give you. I don’t know if putting a.Regulate the temperature according to the amount of fondant you want to set.
3. Another trick that can help harden fondant quickly is a bag of salt to absorb the moisture. Put in a box a sachet of salt and the fondant figure you want to dry and leave it to dry overnight.Use about a large handful of mini marshmallows and melt for about 20-30 seconds in the microwave (depending on how how yours is). Immediately add your food coloring and add powdered sugar slowly mixing as you go until it is thicker.To harden fondant quickly afteryou’ve shaped it, you’ll need the help of your oven, especially if you live somewhere humid.
First of all, it needs to be said that heat will soften and even melt the fondant, so you don’t ever want to put the fondant in an oven that is on. Instead, turn your oven on to a low setting and preheat it for 5-10 minutes.To harden fondant using a blow dryer, set the pieces on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Set the dryer to its lowest setting and hold it 1 to 1 1/2 feet away from the fondant. Dry the pieces for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on their size, moving the dryer as needed to dry them thoroughly.
