I just bought this and tried to get the o -rings under the top plate. The original are oblong shaped. The ones in the top kit I ordered are round. Every site I look at only show round ones. Does any one know what I can do.

You simply bend the round oring to fit in the oblong slot.

That works for the larger one but the rings are too big for the smaller one.

I would say you have the.wrong oting kit.

Maybe they packaged it wrong. There is only 1 offered for the 1953 jubilee. Everything else in the kit are right.

Do you have the early two piece cover with spacer plate? It was only used very early on and had different o-rings. This is the "standard" cover plate.

My cover does have a metal spacer plate but is a single piece and has 2 oblong openings where seals go. Could the cover plate on ebay fit and work on my tractor?

Sounds like you have the two piece design used up through serial 20900. Ford abandoned it very quickly.
The one on eBay is a bolt on replacement and does not use the spacer. I have bought a number of things from Porter8n and he is a very reliable seller. For $5 plus shipping I would swap the cover in a heartbeat.
